Protex "Hunter" Sleeping Bag

These might be a Canadian, store specific custom item as I can't find a lot of info on them but they have one listed on sale at our new outdoor stores, Sail, this week for $54. The model is Hunter, microfibre 2, good down to -18C/0F. It weighs 9 pounds but I'm not planning on hiking with it but using it in my RTT for winter camping. I don't think I can go too wrong with it but input is appreciated. They appear to have four models in the line-up.

My first sleeping bag 20 years ago was a similar deal to this one. (the "Jasper 3" from Camper's Village). Ironically, I froze my butt off during a -2C May weekend - in Jasper, AB.

I wouldn't want to test the Hunter's -18C rating.

I guess you get what you pay for. I really do like these new Sail stores though and so far, the staff have been extremely knowledgeable about the products they sell.

I hadn't heard of Sail until today. Did they used to be called something else? I wonder if we will be getting any stores out West.

No, they just seemed to have popped up in the last year or so. It's a good thing now that Canadian Tire has purchased Atmosphere and changed them completely, leaving only a very small portion of the store to actual outdoor pursuits products.
