Can you retrofit a motorcycle bar clamp style one and put it near the shifter or similar?

Thought about that too, but i think it`ll look like hack. Guess i need to build my own...

Made some front mounts for the cage today:

Made the two front cage uprights today:

Got some LED strobes that will go up front:

Made the first gusset for the cage:

And a turn signal mount:

Also fabricated the rear cage mounts:

Measured the cross bars for the cage using my small calipers:

Made the two rear ones:

And the front one:

Mounted the first three lights:

Mounted the strobes to the other 4 lights:

And mocked it up. Strobes are working:

Made a mount for the flashing light:

And tacked it on:

Here are some total shots. Looks put of proportion on those pics but i`d call it almost perfect looking at it in person:

Started with those three guys today:

Mounted them and cut some threads for the rear facing strobes :

Tacked it on:

Now there are almost all lights mounted:

Then i removed the old dash completely. Will build a new one:

Made a gas strut to fit the roof window:

this thread is one of my favorite threads to read. your machinist and fabrication skills are second to none. please keep up the awesome work and keep posting!! out of curiosity what would you estimate the final cost might be for all of this. just the out of pocket expense. in my opinion you can never put a price tag on something you enjoy doing. but it would be interesting to know. again keep up the awesome work!!

Thanks a lot. I don`t keep records of how much this costs, but if i`d have to guess i`d say i have about $10000 in it and exspecting probably around another $5000, which bring me to a total of about $15000.
Honestly i think it could be even more, but i don`t want to realize that. It`s just way too much fun building it.

And if i`ll ever finish it, i think driving the first few yards will reward me for all expenses... :wings:
