Where do you live?
Im in central Kansas. Usually try and take one camping trip to colorado each year which is what sparked me trying to find an off-road teardrop a few years ago. Ill have to do some more looking at their stuff for sure. Appreciate the replies. The budget is definitely there, but I never want to sacrifice quality for price. Normally in every hobby there is a middle ground where the price to quality ratio is at its peak for the features you want. Spend any more and you get minor upgrades for exponential increases in price. Spend less and you get massive downgrade in materials or lifespan. I just always try to find that middle ground.

Right on. One other factor is how long are you willing to wait for a new rig? What is your tow vehicle?

Most everything that Ive been looking at is at least 9 months out for wait times. I plan on getting an order in for whichever one I want by end of March. My tow vehicle is a 2013 TRD Tacoma so I should be able to handle anything in the weightclass that I'm looking at.

So your towing capacity is 3,500 lbs. Comparing the Vintage XTR with the Trailer Marker Bushwacker.

TM is all Aluminum chassis with FRP roof , side walls and floor. No wood other then if you go with stikwood paneling on the interior for warmth.

Vintage xtr- heavy steel chassis, powder coated, plywood structure with aluminum skin. Heavy prone to rust and rot and heat and cold transfer. Eeek.

IMHO ...no comparison. You will be able to load so much more into the trail marker.

Pretty sure the TRD comes with the tow package but not positive. With tow package he can tow 6500lbs and the truck will be pre-wired for a brake controller and have a 7 pin connector.

I realize right after I sent that that 3500 was low. Either way he can tow any of the trailers in this class for sure. IMO the lighter the better when pulling off road

I think I am actually going to be going with a Valiant XTD. Thanks everyone for your responses! I really appreciate it.

That is awesome Boss429. I was just about to say I get the feeling that not haveing a wood rear galley was a deal killer for the trail marker Bushwacker. I can't say enough about Jorden and Valiant I wanted him to custom build a stand up like my Trailer Marker but he gracefully backed out because he didn't want to do a crazy custom build. Anyway as I am sure you know he has a second shop in ID which ironically is where my family is from ( all 38 of my 1st cousin live) Great builds awesome wood work and a great choice on your part!
