question about putting overland vehicle in LLC

Greetings. I can't find liability insurance for a two-year vehicular trip through Mexico, Central and South America. I've heard that vehicles travel through countries/borders more easily if the title, registration and tags are in the personal name of the passport holder/driver license holder. Would titling the vehicle into a US formed LLC (Limited Liability Company) or corporation be a mistake? Could anyone who has done this comment on this option?

I travel trough Mexico on LLC. You need to have a government letter/document that shows you own the LLC.

From my experience, keeping the vehicle titled in your name definitely simplifies border crossings since it matches your ID. If you title it in an LLC, you might run into extra paperwork and complications. I’d recommend sticking with your name for a smoother trip.
