Question for RTT Users w/Annex

I have the largest CVT tent and always use the annex. But it's a pain to assemble and dis-assemble, as I'm sure others know.

So, do you leave the floor/tub attached to the walls of the annex when you tear it down? Or do you remove and re-install the floor each time?

I've thus far removed the floor each time since I envision trying to fold the walls and floor together as being just too unwieldy. Of course I could just try it and find out, but I'm curious what others do in this regard.

Thanks!

I have a tepui (4person their largest, I forget the name) We leave the floor in all the time it is easy to fold. First make sure the tub is extended and flatish and have a. Fold both sides in between front and back walls, then fold back(front) wall its laying over tub and front wall. Then fold front wall into tub (ensuring the whole annex is in the tub. Fold tub in half on short axis (lay on it to get all the air out) and then fold a couple more times and/or roll it up. (again make sure to compress to get the air out). It will then fit easily in the bag. I can do this by myself in about 2 minutes.

We always use our annex since that is where the dogs sleep. We removed the floor each time because that gets washed when we return home.

We don’t have the largest CVT but the next size down, can’t remember the name. I always leave the annex and floor installed when putting it up. Too much of a pain to try and take everything off. I also leave 4 sleeping bags inside the tent too when folding it up. It does make putting the cover on a little tricky but I have discovered that using a ratchet strap to snug down helps tremendously. I will try and take of pick tomorrow of how I have the ratchet strap installed. Leaving the sleeping bags in there helps out a ton on saving space.

I was away from the forum for while, but I'm back and would like to thank you all for your responses!

Folding up the tent with the annex still attached!!?? Now that's one I will have to play with.
