Question on insulating wood walls or not

Any input from the guys with experience would be appreciated. We all know there are a number of ways to build a Teardrop or Weekender style camper. Plywood walls with roof spares or a framed wall with inner and outer sheeting. My question or input needed on either way of building is the insulation aspect. Of course I know a framed wall with insulation in between the plywood layers would be warmer. But those who have built a single ply wall and maybe carpeted the inner walls just how warm can they be? and maybe what has been the coldest weather you have been in, in a single ply walled camper? and was it a comfortable temp inside?. I'm asking because I have always used a pop-up camper for years while Deer hunting in the winter , and Ive decided that I want another project and a smaller more capable set-up to get into the woods..

I used a 2x4 on the flat...1/2 plywood on the outside, and 3/8" knotty pine on the inside. Between the studding I cut 1" pink foam...walls, floor and ceiling.

Warm as toast....almost always sleep with the window cracked even in the cold. Last year was the coldest night, down in Virginia...got down to 28.

I had the back trailer doors open, and my Big Buddy heater burning out in the tent on low....and it was easily in the 50's in the trailer...couldn't really stay in the bag.

Thanks Titanpat57 . I was hoping more builders will chime in

On my teardrop build (uav-td) I used 1/2 ply exterior, 1x4 on their side with 3/4 rtec foam and the 1/4 interior ply. Havent had it out yet though.
