Question on Quigley van

Looking at a 2006 E350 4X4 5.4 V8. Overall the van is in good shape with 104K on the clock.

Since I don't know much about vans...

Is this a "good" set up and by that I mean is the 5.4 engine wonderfully reliable. Are the 4X4 conversions done during this time reliable?

All information is appreciated.

Yes and yes.

By 2006 the 5.4 Tritons were pretty foolproof.

If you consider the ride rough you might look at an Agile Offroad RIP kit, which is springs and Fox shocks. It makes a huge difference on Quigleys, but ride is subjective.

Check out the radius arms for cracking. If they are boxed steel or tube they're probably fine. They should be. The older style radius arms had issues with cracking.

By 2006 quigly had moved to tube style radius arms, so you should be good there. But depending on maintenance your track bar bushings & sway bar bushings (ones in the axle, not frame) are probably shot, both are easy but painfully slow jobs on the quigley.
RIP kit is a great suggestion.
Make sure you drive it, I personally couldn't live with the 5.4 in the van, feels way underpowered.
