Rain gear

We have sold, (retail & wholesale) all brands of modern rain gear known to mankind. 99% of the membrane gear is great in most conditions. For commercial work (fishing, construction etc) I still like the industrial PVC or "rubberized" suits. In fact for sportfishing/hunting on the NW coast to Nome and out on The Chain I'll use these suits before the membrane gear.

I like my membrane gear but when the going gets muddy, bloody, greasy & oily you cannot bear the old style rain gear

Grundens is by far the best, but if you live near a commercial fishing area go to a shop that supplies commercial fishermen/women. Tell them what you want it for etc. I have 4 tops (Swedewear, 66degrees, Helly Hansen, Grundens) 3 bib bottoms(same as first three tops), & one Grundens top that I purchased this summer. The Grundens I bought has no lining to absorb moisture, it is dry the next day if you have a dry warm place to hang it during your down time. All my other is are commercial grade also but is lined and will hold moisture unless you are careful about hanging & drying while you are in the rack. The other thing I like about the dark green colored rain gear is I use it caribou and moose hunting. If you have a long sneak in open tundra country this stuff slides like a hot knife thru butter. Like I said above blood, mud, grease it all comes off if you carefully clean.
Do not buy cheap by that I mean buy the top grade you can get. Expensive yes, durable yes, long lasting yes. Some of my gear is from the Exon Valdeaz clean up, and they went thru mud, diesel, oil, gasoline etc.
My gear generally runs 80-140 for the top and about the same for the bottom. (that is today's prices) I looked at the Helly Hansen site and could not find their commercial fishing gear, so you may have to Google to find it. Cardharts makes some good gear too, but I've never worn any nor spoke with folks that have.

i have grundens for work on the tugboat. have had for just over 10 years and yes they are dirty but they do not leak. would not hesitate to buy grundens again.
