Ram coming out with split tailgate?

I prefer the step built into the Chevy bumper, that would be nice. I don’t mind stepping on the corner of my bumper, but that step looks cool. I don’t need a multi-piece tailgate.

I saw an aftermarket rear bumper for the ram truck that looks like the stock bumper but has that gm style step in it, may be an option for you, I can’t remember the brand.

The thing I’m curious about is the step in front of the bed on the 2020 GMC. It looks cool, but I wonder if that’s not asking for trouble down the road? If that thing isn’t sealed correctly all your going to do is trap moisture and dirt (as well as salt from places that use de-icer on the roads). That could be a rust trap just waiting to happen.

I think it’s ford that has a similar option on some trucks.

The bumper corner steps are nice too but on a lifted truck that can be an awfully large step up.

The aftermarket retractable corner steps for the Ford are nice, if you're into that. Amp, I think.

I just use my hitch and tires.

I use my hitch and tires, it never fails and doesn’t cost more. My wife has retractable steps on her Tahoe that came from the factory, similar to AMP, they have been giving us problems, one is stuck down and the other stuck half up, this all started this winter. Some blame it on the cold, but the Tahoe sits in a 60 degree heated garage all night long. Going to the stealership on Monday for repair.
