Ram Hemi guys; fuel tank capacity woes

I have a 2021 RAM 2500 w/6.4 Hemi....I get fuel light right at 26 gallons, is it that conservative? As far as I know it's a 31 gallon tank but have been scared to push too deep after fuel light is on and a negative needle, but in theory I have an extra 5 gallons / 50+ miles.

Sounds like it. With 5-gallons left, probably 2-3 gallons to get you where you need with the rest of that gas keeping the fuel pump cool.

I'd check with one of the Ram forums. It might be a common complaint, it might be an easy fix, or their might be a workaround.

My 2012 Ram has a remaining range displayed on the fuel efficiency window of my dash. This is a calculated number (i think). My low fuel light comes on when this reaches ~50 miles.

It's not an issue. Range warning for 2013 and up is set for 4.8 gallon DTE.
