Rambling questions about moving to the fat bike world

I've gotten 8 or so rides in on the Minnesota 3 and continue to be happy with it. I did switch the original grips to some thicker ones which I like better. Still undecided about swapping my bar ends over. I know most folks don't ride with them any more but I've always liked having the extra hand position to swap to on easier sections of trail. Its easy enough to put them on and take them off so I'll see what I settle on. In the end though it was the right decision to go fat, the 4" tires are giving me the leeway to ride without worrying too much about the vision issues.

That is good to hear. It is all about getting back on the trail and I'm glad you made the jump and it is working for you. You will have to stop and take some pictures next time you get out.

Only one I've got at the moment. This is the 4 mile trail that's only 1/2 mile from my house. This particular shot is taken at the start of almost 1/4 mile of continuous skinny bench cut hanging on the side of a hill that drops off into a creek drainage. This is why I hated to think of hanging up my MTB riding.

There is a dealer near me selling Framed bikes. I rode a few Min 2.0 and 2.2 for comparison. Though they were nice, it I did not want to spend the $.
I ordered a Boris X7 from bikesdirect. look through mbtr forums. lots of info. i like my Boris, and it has treated me well. i ride in Michigan, in the trees, sand, and snow.
