Ramcharger specs are out

I watched a couple YouTubes this morning on the Ramcharger specs. Yes, as of now, it's a city truck but imagine a Rebel version! I do hope RAM does this ASAP as it probably satisfies 90% of the off pavement tow crowd. 690 miles non towing range, 2500+# payload in a 1500 sized package. Figure out how to stuff some 37's under their with out killing too much payload and hmmm......

I remain skeptical regarding the weight and price, which are not mentioned.

The All-New Ram 1500 Ramcharger delivers innovative performance with a liquid-cooled 92-kilowatt-hour battery pack paired with a 130-kilowatt generator. The 3.6L Pentastar® V6 engine generates mechanical power, which is converted to electrical power by the onboard generator for maximum efficiency. The generator can also increase the power to the motor and gearbox when serious power is needed.

Yup marketing is doing their thing for sure. But on the Truck King YT video he did mention you could skip charging and just keep filling the gas tank and use the 3.6 as the sole source of new energy. Kind of a dumb way to do it but I imagine a scenario like my life:

95% of miles are local in city. EV for the win.
4% highway miles getting to the off road bits - gas only for the win.
1% of actual off pavement camping. EV when I can (silence is golden) and gas when the electrons run dry. Absolute worst case is I bring a jerry can of gas or 2.

*if* they come out with a Rebel and *if* it's a real one and *if* marketing isn't pushing the truth limits too far on range then this could be a win. Yeah, lots of *ifs*.....
