Ran 2500 8ft bed

Reg cab 8' bed all day long. Quad cab 8' bed maybe. Crew cab 8' bed... Too much hassle. I had a fleet Ram 2500 quad 8' and just driving in town it was annoying.
Break over, turning radius, etc. All horrible.
But you get tons of room. Depends where you drive it really.
Crew cab is non negotiable for me. Gotta fit the family. It’s clear I need to test drive one for a day and see if it will work for me. Thanks for everyone’s input! Those that said Carli, educate me on your choice, I’d love you know why!

I have a 2019 2500 CCLB 6.4 Hemi; I absolutely love it. 3100lbs of payload, rides good, and the Hemi is well matched with the 8 speed auto. Are you looking at a 2014+ truck? The rear coil suspension rides awesome compared to leaf springs. Empty can be a little rough but with 1500lbs in the bed it rides better than most cars and SUVs.

I went through a debate with myself about going with a mid size truck. A realistic look at what we do led me to the full-size crew cab long bed. It’s long and wide, but we stick to Forest and BLM roads. Some of which are washed out and tight with brush, but a full size pretty much always fits with some pin striping.

AEV is basically a spacer kit, but it does allow you to retain factory payload and ride but only gives you some lift.

When I get the funds to spare I’m going to order Thuren’s Overland Extreme system for mine; 3”/1.25” on the Hemi 2500. Thuren has a lot of good info on these trucks. My personal opinion is Thuren’s Overland system is a good balance between performance and cost. King Shocks are awesome, but most of us do not need that level of performance.

Don's a good guy with a fine product. I've had his Kings for 10 yrs now. His got six stages of valving to fit your situation. Cabover, fast offroad, street etc. As far as I know unless you specifically request it Carli's got one.
