Ran across this trailer.

To Infinity and Beyond!
Today I was visiting a friends house to take some pictures of a Silver Streak trailer for him and saw this trailer in the back by the shop. I did not know he had this old Army trailer.

Can you all provide some information about exactly what this trailer is and what it's value might be for me to offer to purchase?

I look forward to your responses.

Ran across this trailer

Location has a lot to do with price. Is the bed and frame rust free ? If so they go around here for 1,000 to 1,500. The more rust the cheaper the price.

No they are not good expo trailers .cough cough. I will dispose of it for you as a friend of course. They are highly desired by expo people. Prices keep going up.

A friend price should be around $400-500 IMO. These trailers can hide a little bit of rot, so take a closer look, poke with a screw driver or something and see if it's in good enough shape to fit your abilities for repair (or willingness to use as-is).

It's a great base for a build, many use them or mimic them in their builds. That said, it's ideal if you need a trailer to store gear and run a roof top tent, it's a bad base if you want to build a teardrop style expo trailer. I assume you're asking more about the former.

Google, "site: expeditonportal.com M416" and you'll see plenty of great build threads on them. Also, check out Adventure Trailers Chaser model, it's based on the classic M416 style, here: http://adventuretrailers.com/trailers/chaser/

I will buy everyone you can find with little or no rust for 500.00. If you can get it for that jump on it. The hardest part is getting a title for it in some states. Took me 4 months of jumping thru hoops to get a title for mine.

Looks like a good start for an expo trailer. lots of things you can do with it, depending on what you want. Bunch of them on here to give you ideas.
