You musta been helping a stranded motorist... Your Dodge wouldn't need anything from O'Riellys would it?

Nah doing a once over before we set out back home towin heavy. Dumped a quart of fresh Lucas 75/90 in the NV(its got a small leak between it and the 205) and did a quick check on the valves I thought I heard a rattly one but they were all good.

Nice pictures Chilliwak. The Canadian Rockies look way cool in the back ground.

Guess we are the only ones taking our full-size domestics to the neverlands often? The late model full-size PowerJoke and Dirtymax diesel guys must be busy replacing $3000+ worth the injectors or don’t want to pay the cost of fuel to get out there.

Thanks Larry.

I would rather pay in fuel :Wow1:costs than I would in repairs:Wow1: costs.... At least you get some kind of a warning when you are running low on fuel; not so when its repairs!:ylsmoke:

That is the truth! Although with my 20mpg I do ok. It has been too long since I have visited the neverlands in my old beater though.

Dig the Suburban LIVEanimals! Interesting forum name. Curious about the story behind that chosen name??

…..so, the rest of the story behind the oddball stuck above on TinCup Pass in the middle of what looks like a perfectly traversable trail over the Continental Divide. There was a big open hole right ********** dab in the middle of the trail. I went around the right side of it as far as I could tolerate being the scrub brush was brutally scratching the paint down to what sounded like bare metal. It sounded like nails over glass. Not good…. As the front almost squeaked by the entire rear of the truck slid right into it hole thanks to the rear “steering” of a Detroit locker. The few hundred lbs of fire wood on the rear hitch hauler didn't help any either! Never use one of those again! The funny part is my buddy in the picture from Michigan walked up the hill at least 200 ft with the front winch cable. Not sure how long he thought that cable was but the cable came unspooled from the barrel long before he found the first snatchable solid tree. The funny and frustrating part was the tow straps and tree saver were in the bed of the truck under the sleeping platform which was useless as the truck was so twisted the tailgate would not open nor would the wood pile allow it to open. Lessen learned…keep the tow straps and tree sleeve in the cab. What a comedy act. Once we got an extension on the winch cable it only took it slight tug to put it free from this hole. The good news is the fishing was awesome once we made it to Mirror Lake an hour down the trail later.

Yes, that is a NOBAMA sticker in on the rear window!

Give me a couple years to have my '70 Blazer built and gas money saved up. I'll be hitting up all of those trails that I can find! Larry, I like your pop up camper a lot, but dang I love the way that top looks on your truck.
