A buddy sheared both upper and lower ball joints on the driverside running a wash in Truckhaven, so I had to get my trailer off the van and pick him up off the trail.

What I Saw This Weekend

Date: May 30, 2008
Location: 4 Wheel Parts Redondo Beach, CA
Chassis: Toyota LC Troop Carrier
Comments: I was picking up a Ducati Monster 696 from Del Amo Motorsports with a friend and spotted this gem in the parking lot in front of 4 Wheel Parts. It is a RHD which had some sort of pop-top roof and Michigan transporter plates.

Date: May 31, 2008
Location: Chapman Ave. Orange, CA
Chassis: Pinzgauer
Comments: I was driving to Orange Hill for brunch and spotted this Pinz. I tried to strike up a conversation with the owner at an intersection but he didn't seem too interested. Oh well.

Date: May 31, 2008
Location: Intersection of Manhattan Beach Blvd. and Aviation Blvd., Redondo Beach, CA
Chassis: Toyota FJ Cruiser
Comments: Coachbuilt soft top convertible. It had temp paper plates on it and not really an expedition vehicle but I still thought it was interesting.

Date: June 1, 2008
Location: Southbound 14 Freeway at the Sand Canyon exit.
Chassis: Toyota FJ Cruiser
Comments: Nice loaded rig with a full compliment of accessories.

That's funny. That troopie is almost identical this one that was just posted on Jalopnik. I thought they were the same at first, but I think its even more remarkable that they're not.
