Spotted - the DAF in Texas

So...1 week after having joined Expo Portal...a nice little coincidence pops up as things usually do when one is on a loose schedule and enjoying the journey rather than rushing to the destination.

I was on my way to exploring a couple of state parks last weekend with my trusty labrador, specifically Lost Maples and then Enchanted Rock, and slowly meandering thru some of the backroads on a beautiful day when I decided to pull into a local country store to get a few more refreshments for the upcoming hike...

Lo and behold...I came across this - I was pretty sure I had seen pictures before, so I stopped and had a great chat with one of the owners for a while while the dogs had a chance to play. I'm sure Scott Brady will recognize this vehicle and maybe others of you who have seen them in the past on the road somewhere!

At any rate...they will also be at the OJ Expo in April and can share more of their amazing 9 year journey around the world! I took a couple of shots side by side with my RRS - makes mine look like a toy car by comparison.

Just a little bit further up the road, there is also a very nice motorcycle museum run by an Australian guy, thought I would share a few shots of some of the vintage bikes for the 2 wheeler fanatics as well.

Hope you enjoy the pictures...:

Paul

What happens when you drive a 10,000 lbs rig in sand and your front hub won't engage?
