RatPack gear bag

I've been using this bag for about two years and it has served me very well, and I must admit, it has been real nice to always have everything ready to go at a moments notice.
The only reason I've decided to sell is because I picked up a 1968 Coleman 426D 3-burner dual fuel stove that I am restoring and I will build a chuckbox custom to fit this stove and a dual-fuel lantern to fit in the back of my Jeep.

BTW, this bag is sold.

Tell whoever it was that made the Trasharoo to expand their product line and make this thing out of similarly good quality textiles. ;)

I want one too by the way, it could replace my heavy blue rubbermaid thing I use to store my stove, lantern and the rest of my random stuff.

I can totally look into it. Im surprised they didn't get talked to by "Pack Rat" for their choosing of the name. It's dang close. Wonder who existed first.

I thought the same thing myself. Could be a chance it caught up with them. It must have just been real recent, as a Division of Camp Chef in Utah still has a photo of that bag on their website. When I called the Gal made it sound like it wasn't all that long ago, but she wouldn't give any additional details.

Which other Pack Rat are you referring to? The storage bin company? The outdoor company in AR?

I'll do some asking around about the SLC company, another company I have done some business with (Wave) had some affiliation with them, I'll see what they know.

The one i was referring to was the tire cover that stores your jumper cables and other items inside a storage zipper. Looks like they may be no longer as well.

Did anyone find this bag or a similar product elsewhere? I just read the thread and it does not look like it...?

This bag "IS" made from quality textiles, it appears to be a Cordura type fabric, at least as far as I can tell. I carried an average of 50+ lbs of gear for about two years. Never had a zipper fail, nor a rip, tear, or a single deformation.

The bag is about as good you can get if you're using a propane setup.

I believe the original company made a quality product, but suffered from a combination of bad timing and poor marketing.

I just meant it would be nice to make a quality replacement product by a company made up of forum members. I didn't mean to imply that the original product was of poor quality.

A cheaper bag (say less than $20.00) would make it difficult to believe it was made of heavy duty construction.
