rCI skid plates and hidden winch for f150

This is one thing I wish I could do on my Ecoboost, but it would require buying a $1200 front mount intercooler in addition to the winch and mount.

And i just don't get that wild with my F150.

You will enjoy how the skid plates don't rust, but remember they aren't invincible. I have 1/4" aluminum RCI on my 12th gen and high centered myself on an obstacle hidden with snow and bent the transmission plate decently.
Let's see pics after, especially if you choose a winch!
Did you get the powder coated ones? I am debating between powder coat or not. I am leaning towardsj not and just spray painting it black so it will be cheap an easy to correct blemishes.

Same here. Although I’m sure depends on your terrain.
If I feel there’s a high chance of getting stuck, I’ll bring a come along.
What I like about a using the hi lift or a come along is that it will work without power and has no Chinese electrical parts to fail.

But the problem is the space it takes up. I need to figure out a good way to store it.

I like the idea of the winch behind the bumper because it doesn’t take away any precious cargo space
So which is faster, a come along or the hi lift. I have never used a hi lift.

I have a 3.5. it is unfortunate it doesn't work for us. I have thought about one of these, EXO Winch Mount System (09-21 Ford F-150) | Rough Country®.

It should work if you got the Fullrace or Cobb intercooler that high mounts behind the grille.

How does that Exo mount attach? Do you remove the OEM hooks and bolt on there? My truck would no longer fit my garage if I did that so would have to take it on and off as needed.

@ITTOG, Just gonna throw it out there. I'd get the powder coating. I have their skid plates on my truck, unfortunately they didn't offer aluminum when I purchased (I dont think they do for the 09-14 F150s anymore) the powder coating is really good quality. I know the aluminum doesn't have as much of a corrosion risk as the steel plates... just my two cents though.

I did not coat the aluminum/aluminium as I'm totes ok with the colour of them and the mild hazy film of oxidization.

The come along is faster than the hi lift hot sure and you can rig it to walk up a chain too.

But you can’t really lift the truck with the come along. Unless you have something to hang it from.

I do not have one so not sure. Info below is from the item at EXO Winch Mount System (09-21 Ford F-150) | Rough Country®.

Best of all, this kit is easy to install, with a 100% bolt-on installation process that’s simple enough to do in any home garage and can be fully returned to stock at any time. Upgrade your truck with Rough Country’s EXO Winch Mount System and gain incredible recovery and lighting power in an instant!

Thanks everyone for the responses.
