Real time help CONQUEROR wiring

I know I have read on here some one gave the wire colors for the lights but My compact gets in tomorrow and my dads picking it up. He has to do a 2 hour drive after pick up but of course his truck only has the standard 4pin plug. I figure i can give him the colors and he can hack it right there just to get home. some one help out?

thanks
mike

what I did

This is what I did.

I cut open the trailer end plug and chased down what each wire did, matched them to the 4 wire plug for my truck.
On the trailer: On the truck 4 wire plug
white wire (right blinker) green wire
Blue wire (brake) left unplugged (see below)
Red wire (running lights) brown wire
there is a weird jumper inside the plug
gray wire (left blinker) yellow
black wire white wire

There were a couple of wires I had to put together on the trailer so bring larger terminals or whatever wire supplies needed too...

The only other change was in the back, using a small screw driver I switched the spades inside the factory plug going to the red lights in the rear (un-did the blue and replaced with the gray and white wire, one each side)
this does not use the yellow lenses at all. I plan to replace them with red and tap into the rear side running light for power.

To test, I ran jumpers from the trailer's battery... just remember to test the blinkers, you have to touch/untouch/touch/etc. the flasher part is in the truck. This is on a Toyota, but I think the 4 wire YBGW is standard.

As a warning, you have to lay on your back for a while to do the rear... bring a piece of cardboard or mat to keep from keeping dirty. As a back-up plan, he could spend the $25 and buy a cheap set of "add a light" kit. The ones I got had a tongue to stick in a tailgate or trunk and fit nicely in the bottom of the tailgate for the fridge.

Honestly, I can send you a wiring schematic that I got from the South African Expedition site, but It is probably too complicated to 'hack'.

If I were in your shoes, I would pick up a set of magnetic lights from your local auto parts and run those for the short trip home.
Shoot me an e-mail at nashvillerover@comcast.net and I will send you what I got from the SA forums.

Thanks
Dendy

Thank you for your wiring brake down. The trailer side plug diagram on the SA forum has different colored wires.

Stop by a Tractor Supply Co., Northern Tools or autoparts store and pickup some magnetic lights with a four pin plug. It should have a 12-16 ft of cord with it. Wrap the extra wiring around the frame. Never sell it, it is a good backup. It has saved my tall many times.
