Rear Diff Lock for NPR?

Hey y'all,

I'm in the beginning stages of designing a multipurpose NPR-HD Crew Cab w/6.0 L96. I would like to put an electronic locker on the factory rear differential but I'm struggling to figure out if one is available. Does anyone have any experience with this? Part numbers/links would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Is this an Izzuzu thing or a GM????

Do you have a 14 bolt rear axle?:

I have not purchased a chassis yet. I want to make sure I pick the right one that will do what I want it to. I'm more likely to purchases an 2010-2015 Isuzu as the newer GM re-badges (2017+) are hard to find used and still expensive. I will be making modifications to the engine so I don't want to pay for a warranty. What are the differences between the Isuzu and GM rear ends in these trucks? What is the model rear end?

Thanks for all the help!

I think everything is the same except the badging. Call a isuzu or chevy parts counter and inquire about ordering a rear axle, then you will know what to look for. I had one, it was reliable, but rode worse than a square wheeled wagon.

I've heard that the newer ones have much better suspension but have not test driven yet. I will be doing suspension upgrades regardless, possible air ride on all corners. It will be used for farm work hauling hay on the bed and on trailers, pulling horses, landscaping materials. It will also be used to haul construction materials as I'll be purchasing a fixer upper home in the next few months. And of course I want to be able to take it out for fun stuff like camping and potentially a road trip to Alaska from Washington State. The L96 will receive some aftermarket upgrades and a custom tune, likely form Blackbear performance.

That rear end is much stronger than anything you would find in a GM pickup. It is the same in the Isuzu and the GM versions. I would look into the stuff the Aussies do with them. There are at least some LSD offerings that I have seen.
