Rear drawer update III

I had some more time the last few Thursdays to do a little work on the drawer system. I glued the carpet down, finished the drawer face, and installed it in the 80.

I still need to do a little finish work in here.

I had planned on leaving the carpet for the outer frame but I think I will frame around the drawer and the lower edge with some aluminum.

You cyclist may recognize the drawer pulls:

Got an e-mail today from Mr. Slee, I have 2 bumpers, 1 OME lift kit, and 1 set of sliders on the way. Just in time.

Nicely done! Great work and I like the little touches like those. Your system is inspiring me to get to work modifying mine.

I used to be (in the bike biz) back in the midwest...where are you located?

My shop is in the Northern burbs of Chicago, Highland Park.

FYI, Dogs love Cicadas.

Incredible! Very nice work. Did you list the interior and exterior dimensions anywhere?

What's the benefit of carbon fiber drawer fronts? I'm not very familiar with that stuff.

Carbon fiber drawer face and CK "drawer pulls"? You sir, are a dork. A very cool dork, but a dork none the less.

So how much for a set of King drawer pulls for mine? Also, did you layup the carbon or was that a prefab sheet? Very, very cool.

Thanks, I like that statement.

I bought the carbon on eBay. It was an x-ray table and cut it up. This was one those things that just worked out.

I don't have the dimensions I built it to fit, if that makes sense. The only measurements I have on paper are in the first posting I did. The link is on the top of the page.

The benifit of the carbon fronts are pure Gucci factor. In my business carbon fiber is all over the place, I have thin sheets I bought from a supplier I use for making custom computer mounts on time trial bikes. So I thought why not give it a shot.

I love it when it works.
