Rear JK bumper advice needed.

Hi.

The rear bumper on my JK is not long for this world cause it sucks. I was amazed at how flimsy it was when I took it off for my rack install, so I'm not surprised it sags under my...ample frame when I use it as a step for dealing with the RTT I have.

What I'm looking for:
-A nice flat top-3" deep or larger for fatty standin'
-Reverse lights would be neat
-Ability to use factory receiver hitch location
-not "crawler" looking. No spider webs or iron cross skulls laser cut in.

The closest thing I found was this one:
http://www.jcroffroad.com/product/BLACKFRIDAY/JK-R-LC2.html
I'm kicking myself because I missed the deal. Ugh.

Before I pull the trigger on the FULL price one, does anyone have any recommendations? Under $600 would be preferred. Not super concerned about adding a tire carrier either. 35" would be the largest I would go, and even that's a bit of a stretch.

Thanks in advance!

LoD Offroad Bumpers

I'm running LoD Offroad's ( http://www.lodoffroad.com/) front and rear bumpers as well as their sliders. They are 3/16" steel plate bumpers, that bolt on. No cutting or drilling required. They have performed flawlessly for me. BTW, no affiliation, just a satisfied customer.

Good luck.

Looking to upgrade myself with similar wants, except I'd like to have a tire carrier. Like the looks of the Rugged Ridge, but I've heard some negative things about them, mostly about the finish though.

If you like the JCR rear bumper, take a look at the Poison Spyder RockBrawler: http://shop.poisonspyder.com/JK-RockBrawler-Rear-Bumper-p/17-61-010.htm

It looks similar, has everything you're looking for, and it's under $600. I've owned a few of their products in the past and they are really stout and clean-looking. There are a few other models of the same bumper- one with a built-in hitch and/or tire carrier, but some of those start looking a little weird with the spiderweb gussets.

Take a look at Genright Offroad. They are down the road from me a couple of miles. Great guys, quality stuff.

I had my heart set on a LOD full width. Then snagged a good deal a on a Mopar full width that I couldn't pass up. I'll use the Mopar one, and combine it with the AEV tire carrier and fuel caddy.

If I lived down south, where shipping a bumper wasn't outrageous, I'd go with LOD. Not cheap, but I really like their work.

i removed mine all together, uneccicary piece IMO. the frame rails are far enough to the edge, as well extended enough from the body to serve as protection for the quarter panels offroad when dealing with ledges. the rear crossmember is in such a position to serve as a legal 'check' in states that have bumper laws

as it stands im on 37's and sitting 25lbs over factory curb weight.

Yes, but I want something to stand on...

There are a couple bumpers I have not seen yet in here. Thanks for that!

More than I want to spend, plus right where I would put my feet is this weird crossbar thing. The look great, don't get me wrong.

Pretty much down to the Poison Spider, and the JC offroad. I guess I'll look at front bumpers from both companies now, and see where that gets me. They have to match you know.
