Scratching my head Desert Dan, I want a nice little something I can tow with the van so when it gets to narrow I can continue.

:)

Maybe Scott would let me tow the new little white expo jeep he is testing........I'll take good care of it.

Bang for the buck I would go with a jeep you can pick up rubicons so cheap it is not worth buying somthing you have to install lockers in, that is a big cost and rubicon already have them. I tow my box style broncos with my van for the same reason you want a vehicle to tow. The only draw back is they are heavier than the jeeps and because they are older you either do the mods or live with an old carb motor, it becomes more of a love for the truck than somthing to tow around and play with. Side by sides are a joke if you ask me that much money for somthing you can't drive down the road. How many killer camp spots have you been to with you smb that were at the start of a hard trail? Never it is always down another trail a little ways and you have to jump on the road for a mile or so to get to the next trail. One or two 150 dollar tickets and you will wish you bought somthing street legal. Sammys can be a good choice the draw back with them is underpowered not a big deal crawling on a trail but if you want to run over a mountain pass at 60 it will struggle, the upside is they are light to tow. The jeep is easy to get parts for and the inline six runs for ever.
My two cents

Jeep.

Parts availibility and aftermarket support are excellent. It's street legal. It's a backup car and a toy all at once.
Although I like the old jeeps [60's and 70's], a TJ makes the most sense. Rubicon if you can find one. If not, make sure it has a Dana 44 rear as d35's are weak and failure prone.

I am not a huge suzuki fan but that is a smoking deal on a clean sweet rig. A person would either have a ton of time or a lot of money if they paid someone to do that cage work.

What I have so far is just past an insult offer and I just cant do that.

hope he's looking and might say lets deal. :ylsmoke:

Thanks again
