You're responding to a thread that is going on three years old, and the OP hasn't been active here in about a year...

Actually he's responding to the post right above his, that is from today.

But nice try :ROFLMAO:

For the record, I use a cheap Kiwi, Dashcommand, and an Iphone.
It works fantastic on all of our OBD2 rigs, including both the '96 and the '02 Powerstroke, which can be tough for some PBD2 readers

I imagine any Kiwi devices that are compatible with your phone, be it Android or IOS should work fine.
The IOS devices are a bit pickier than android however, and typically only work with WIFI Kiwi's

I have Torque Pro, AE, and Forscan....

If I knew about Forscan (free) when about the AE software ($600) it would have never been purchased.

Torque Pro is also great just get an adapter that works properly ($30.00 or less for complete setup and it is very mobile.

AE is great but it can be inconvenient to always have a laptop with you.

Forscan works on all my fords products. It helped narrow down some problems on my T-bird (which is really a jaguar) that were difficult to find. I think I spent $25.00 on a compatible cable and everything was free. If anyone knows of a similar open source tool for the other manufactures please let me know.

Thanks

I have Forscan, got it set up for making some changes on my Superduty.
It works great, and can do a lot.

But for easy, on the run diagnostics and pulling codes, the little KIWI and Dash-command is far easier.
