Red Rock Canyon/Jawbone/Dove Springs (pic heavy)

I went camping at Red Rock Canyon SP on Hwy 14 and did 100+ miles off road over 2 days. The first day I spent 5 hrs exploring the Jawbone Canyon and Dove Springs OHV area's. This is a very lg area with well marked trails in every direction. Both Jawbone Canyon and Dove Springs have open riding area's with a myriad of trails for ATV's and MX bikes. Travel outside these 2 area's is restricted to existing trails. Here is a link to the Jawbone BLM website with a map:

The 2nd day was spent in the El Paso Mtn's. See this link for pictures and video's.

Great pics, I have driven by there a lot and have never had the opportunity to do any exploring.

By the way, your "baby" isn't, that's a cholla cactus. My wife found out the hard way when we were in AZ not to touch them. The little "balls" break away from the main cactus very easily and it is very hard to remove on your own, each time you touch it, a needle remains in your skin. I found it funny, she didn't...

Did you stop by Bishop's Claim and the grave sites on the SC175? Intereting history out there, and a lot of dirtbikes / atvs / utvs out there. Plus decent hunting too. Thanks for sharing.
