1995 Tacoma Custom Aluminum Flatbed UTE FlipPac Camper. 250k, I’ve owned it since around 170k

For sale is one of my favorite rides- but alas the herd has grown too big and my Fuso FG is what gets the miles these days. I’ve have many miles and wayy to many adventures in this truck. Here’s a very basic breakdown of what it is. For more details on the condition and build, ya just have to call and chat or come see it. There’s so much information.

The Truck Interior

1995 first gen Toyota Tacoma single cab 4x4 five speed manual 2.7l 4 cylinder with low transfer case.

Interior was completely remodeled.

Stripped to the bare metal, fully sound deadened. New Sony head unit (XAVAX100) with CarPlay, Polk speakers (including custom tweeters which were never an option on these trucks) and two pioneer subs, one under each seat.

Tuffy custom locking center console with a pure sine wave Samlex inverter on the back. 12v power inside the console.

Corneal Baja seats with custom mounting brackets.

Rear of both seats features a full MOLLE cover, med kit and tool pouch.

Husky floor mats help keep the interior clean

The Truck Exterior and Mechanical

Brand new starting battery

Smittybilt winch with synthetic line (9k)

Custom bumper, needs new aluminum fairlead installed, which is included.

Rear Smittybilt winch (5k I believe structurally mounted but no electrical)

Viair compressor in the engine bay, needs a new quick connect line to be usable.

Old Man Emu suspension from and rear

Alloy wheels on 30.5” General Grabber (only 5k miles since installed)

Four alloy locking under body boxes offer tons of extra storage

69”x78” custom flatbed tray. Build from bolted and welded aluminum t-slot extrusions so the entire bed is modular for modification, custom hardware, tie down points etc. It’s insanely strong, don’t doubt it’s integrity.

The Camper

Base is 69”x69”

Fully TIG welded aluminum

Two side doors, one opens up one opens down.

Full opening rear with swingout for spare tire and fold down table.

FlipPac fiberglass lid and tent mated to the top of the UTE. Complete and seamless integration, you would think it’s factory. Torsion bar and rain fly included.

Tube aluminum framed floor with plywood sheeting to make a build out easy and user friendly.

Elevated stand on side wing for outdoor kitchen access. Includes an upright refrigerator that fits the opening perfectly.

Camper is removable with a place for four jack on the corners of the unit. Then the camper clamps down onto the flatbed. Jacks have yet to be made but it’s an easy project.

That is just the specs of the build. This truck has uncompleted portions and some qwerks , but the vast majority of it is there and really solid.

For reference here are current prices for similar Overland items

A STOCK first gen Tacoma is often selling for 5-10k. That’s without bumpers, winches, new suspension or a custom interior.

ATs habitat (similar to the FlipPac) starts at 12k.

Norwelds closest similar flatbed starts at around 10k after shipping.

Norwelds basic canopy starts around 12k after shipping.

Asking $23,900
Reduced to 19,900
Also willing to sell the camper be flatbed separately to the right person and for the right price.

Reducing the price to 19,900 for the whole rig. Also willing to part with the flatbed and camper for the right price and person. The underside of the bed is built to be re-mounted on any vehicle.

Indeed! Drop in engine/trans replacement and some new canvas on that tent and you'd have a really nice rig. Something like the 2UZ-FE or maybe even a Mercedes diesel... Of course, I've done projects like that and ended up spending more money on something than just spending the money up front on a starting point that was closer to what I wanted.

Willing to split up the rig as well.

Just the camper with a powder coated black flatbed (was built for the camper) $7,000

Camper and flatbed, $11,000

Truck and flatbed, $9,000
(if the camper alone sells)

For the truck, no camper, no flatbed. (If both the camper and flatbed sell) $6,000
