Ok Mark I'll see you at Cosnino. As for food in Winslow, I'm not much help with this. The only place we stop at in Winslow is WalMart. I have heard that there are a couple small places downtown that are good and there is the La Pasada (sp) it is supposed to be very good but, I haven't been to any of them.

Found this thread and hope to follow it up to Sept 8 as I leave early on the 9th to head south from Calgary.

I too am going to this area from Goblin Valley, UT (15th) then to Tuba City and then east (16th) to Chinle and Canyon De Chilly. Will stop at most Indian villages through Hopi country. Any hints, suggestions, photos you can pass on by Sept 8 PM would be great.

Going solo if anyone wants to tag along.

There will be no photos taken in the Hopi Villages by our group out of respect for their wishes to remain private. We should get a few en route and in our search for Register Rock. After two months of research, it's come down to an eyeball...

Doing Kokopelli Trail on my way to Goblin...then off across AZ again but east to west Petrified forest, Painted Desert,few more Indian sites on my way to Flagstaff area and associated parks, Sedona/Prescott to visit some ExPo regulars and get some hints about their rigs. South to Mesa (SierraExpediton to pick up gear, Gilbert,Chandler, Tempe visit friends from ExPo,then Tucson to rebuild my rear bumper (73 series) and other little fab jobs.

Then off to Guaymas, MX to pick up my handbrake at the airport for 2 weeks vacation (pacification trip), meet efuentes (ExPo) at airport on the way back and off to Basaseachi Falls :rappel: and Creel to do a few days in Barrancas Del Cobre, Los Mochis for an oil change:Mechanic: , fish and cold :REOutIceFishing: beers :beer: and then down the coast through all those wonderful little fishing and touristy towns on my way to PV. Then over to Lake Chapala (visiting friends) and north to Ajo, AZ for 3 days on El Camino Del Diablo :REOutCampFire03: followed by SnT 2008 and then the south end of Death Valley (Goler Canyon) for a week of trails.Looking for someone to join me for the Mojave trail in mid to late Nov. before I head home to Kanukistan :26_7_2: for Xmas:box: .
