Reimo Xtrem thermal insulation ?

ersatzknarf

lost, but making time
I am currently enjoying working my way through John Speed's 'Travel Vans' and he makes mention of this insulation material that seems it would work very well, but as the book is from the early/mid 1990s, I do not think is as readily available now (especially in the states) or perhaps an even better product out there ?

I searched here and did not find any references and googling it was not much better, but I got this close :

http://www.reimo.com/en/D-accessories/DW-conversion_parts_bits/DWC-insulation_upholstery/

Of course, sound insulation is very nice to have, but the primary focus for finding this material or a more locally sourced (and better performing ?) one is to provide thermal insulation.

Does anyone have any experience with any other possible alternatives ?

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
Frank

:sombrero: You might checkout JCWhitney's "Thermal Acoustic Insulation"

I have it in my jeep and it is an AUTO insulation, for both sound and heat and I have it as part of my Jeep hardtop isolation--works GREAT
