Relay - help

Hello,
Could someone point me to an appropriate relay for a 12v line going to the rear of a vehicle? It's to power an Engel fridge and sometimes a 350 watt inverter.

Unless you plan on the line being switchable, why do you want a relay?

You will want constant power running to the fridge so just run a good sized line straight from the battery and use a good sized maxi fuse close to the battery.

Ok so I agree about why the relay is needed. I have a 4 gauge wire running from the hood to a blue sea fuse box under my seat. then a 6 gauge from the fuse box to the back of the car where I have another blue sea fuse box. off that fuse box I power a 12v plug(edgestar fridge), a subwoofer box, back up sensors and my 80w solar panel setup wires into the system there. No relay is in use on this system, just turn on the item when needed.


That being said if you want a relay for the line any old relay would work.

The relay is so that I can switch the power to the socket on or off from within the vehicle.
I won't use the outlet very often, and don't want it powered all the time.
I have a switch in the truck that will operate the relay, sending power from the battery directly to the outlet.
I like the latching relay idea very much! Is there one you could point me to for this setup?

So what is the wire size if it is run, and the total max amperage it will be carrying as you see it? You could consider a remote relay, then you will not have to run wires for the switch.
