Reliability of Chevy Astro van AWD

Yeah, if going to buy and build one, best to go with 2003-2005 with larger discs all around. The fuel spider and injectors are already updated on later years. Any vehicle of the age range you are looking at is going to have maintenance requirements. Don't be silly abusive with the AWD drivetrain and it's reliable, enough.

Hi everyone! I'm in crisis and need help! I have lost my key from my 2004 Astro, contacted dealer and they quoted like $600. plus gotta tow the car there!!! This is way too expensive... Any cheaper solutions that anyone has come across maybe? Any advice highly appreciated! Thanks in advance
Have you contacted a locksmith? This is an older vehicle, they may be able to help.

I believe this is the same user who also posted to the chevygmcvans forum and got their issue sorted out. For that year of van, if one has a working ignition key, the fix is a new fob from from Amazon and a 3 minute programming procedure.
