Remote Start on a Gen 2.5?

Anyone here have any experience with a remote start setup on their Gen 2.5? I'm tempted to install a module, but don't want reliability issues with the OEM immobilizer system. Thanks in advance for any tips you can provide!

Why not just take it to a place that installs alarms etc and have them remove the old "factory" alarm and install a new one with remote start? Here in Houston it runs about $250 for a viper.

I've honestly not even considered removing the factory alarm. I figured with the immobilizer it would really cause havoc if removed.

If you take it to a good place, and give them the heads up about the immobilizer, which honestly most good shops would know once they see it or once they look up the vehicle wiring info which to be honest only two out of three shops I ever dealt with actually did look it up in front of me.
