Replacement steel latches for Bundu/Wolf boxes

Sierra Expedition added steel replacement latches for Bundu & Wolf Pack boxes.

For anyone that's used these boxes you know that the original ones are somewhat fragile.

I've ordered some and will post once I get them in and on my boxes.

Funny timing. Got mine today!

Yeah I asked Wil if he was able to get his hands on them and he called me back and he said "yes." Needless to say I ordered some along with my Wolf Pack boxes. Haven't swapped 'em out, but I'll have them at the ready should I lose/break one of the plastic ones.

I just got some of these from Frontrunner. They work great, if you pinch them too hard they will detach but they are a vast improvement of the original ones that break repeatedly. Also, there seems to be a sweet spot with them towards the top of their travel arc where the stay upraised and don't get caught under the lid when trying to put the lid back on. I am very pleased with them.

I had to add some bend on mine to get them to grasp with some tension.

Is it my imagination or are Bundu boxes a variation of the South African 5.56 ammo boxes I used to get when I purchased a case of 5.56?
