Retaining clip for tailgate cable ball socket. LR3

hey guys I noticed that my tailgate cable on the right side of my tailgate had come loose. I was able to screw it back in but in the process broke the retaining clip that holds the ball in the socket. My local Land Rover dealer doesn't have a part separately. hoping someone on here has some ideas. All post pictures later

Do you mean the clip on the socket on the end of the cable? The clip is the same/ very similar that holds gas struts on(hood, ect). Find a gas strut shop and they should be able to help.
