I have often wondered about a standard tent on the roof, just need a platform for it to secure too. I'm not so sure about that one to be honest! Looks a little flimsy in my opinion. I have slept in some serious weather and winds with my RTT.

Having had ground tents collapse on me during bad weather, I would rather stick with the stout (read heavy) construction of my RTT. Especially since there isn't much cost difference between what C6 is offering, and a good used RTT (which are becoming more and more available). I guess it would work well with someone who needed a tent that could easily be moved from platform to ground and back. I switch my tent from jeep to trailer a couple times per year, depending on weather and where I'm going, or whether or not I need the canoe.
