Ride Rite / 05 Tacoma questions...

So I had Firestone Ride Rite air bags installed today at my Toyota dealership. The air line coming from the passenger side bag exits right ********** into the tall part of the exhaust pipe.

We tied it off to the axle, but the thing got hot and disfigured on the way home anyway, will need to be replaced before I put on my camper.

The guy at the shop suggested a 90 degree fitting, what would those who have had this installed on a late model Tacoma do or have done in this case?

Did the dealer connet the two bags together?
I have the bags fill individually, so each of them has their air line run in the frame and the fill is mounted at the bottom of the bumper.

Do you have a picture of the install?

He did not do the bags in tandem, the lines go up into the area above the spare tire and then out to the rear license plate holder.

I am going get under there right now since it is all cool and take a look at what my options are....

You can see the tiny fill nipple at the end of the bumper on the bottom. Maybe run your air line along the frame and have them come out to the center further back so they clear the heat.

I cut the melted line, there was plenty of slack. I then pulled the fitting out, dabbed some sealant on it and re-inserted it to point downframe. It is fine now, hopefully won't leak.
