RIP Marv Spector

I met Marv around 10yrs ago when I was down visiting family in LA. We had exchanged a few emails and phone calls and he told me if you are ever in my neck of the woods drop on by. So I did, twice a few years apart.

When I showed up Marv put down everything he was doing to spend several hours with me, giving me the tour of his shop, showing me his trucks and he even played a video for me from one of his trips to Australia. He was a super nice guy. He helped me get some super hard to find rare parts over the years too.

Marv was a cruiserhead at heart but he knew a good truck when he saw it. Here is a picture of Marv with his 1980 LG61 Nissan Patrol he imported from Saudi Arabia. One of only two known to be in the USA. I took many pictures of his trucks but he wanted to show me this one more than any of the others.

Sorry to hear the news. RIP Marv!

I met Marv back in day when I was a dumb kid with a 40 and he stored "Stuff" in containers...

Many times he took the time to explain things and talk me out of some things, he check out my diesel swap, and showed me pictures from AU and Saudi Arabia.

A good guy who will be missed.

Damm...
