Yeah, I'm skeptical about that one as well, those Jeeps are SMALL inside. Like all Jeeps to date the interior room doesn't match the Exterior dimensions... THe Comander reminds me of the XJ, big and boxy looking, EXTREMELY small inside...

As far as those two icons go, while the 75 may look more mundane on the outside, there is a beast under that skin. It is by far my personal favorite Expo vehicles... and Lucky me I've gotten to drive/wheel more than a few ;)

Yeah, those split rims aren't so good, but at least the solid look steel wheel is nice.

Having looked across the vast enclosures of Graham's 110 and knowing well the JK's room from Durango_60's, there's simply no comparison. In fact, I am amazed at how much stuff can be packed in a 110 compared to an 80 or 100 series LC.

after looking at the 4d jk. has just a tiny bit less room then my 3rd gen 4runner.

Take the TLC over LR anyday, having driven both extensively over different kind of terrains on the long haul the TLC is way more reliable.

The Toyo 70s are a dime a dozen over here - most common vehicle you'll see around up north of the tropic of Capricorn.

Excellent report from a veteran end user.

The overall reason why people suggest a Toyota is reliability. The overall reason why not to take a Land Rover product is reliability. It's that simple. If you take a Land Rover (I have owned three spanning 18 years), you have an 99% chance of minor trouble, 60% chance of major but repairable trouble and a 25% chance of major trouble where the repair is lengthy and expensive and difficult-to-get spares are needed.

For any expedition, reliability is everything, I have driven my Gurkha and Nissan Patrol to remote areas in India where getting fuel is a problem leave alone spares and break down would mean immediate end of your tour, no ifs and buts.
