Oil pump turned out to be shot so I ordered up a new one from Japan. It is in and motor is nearly done. Ya, I know the head is not painted in this picture.

The best way to align a clutch, that is if you have a spare input shaft laying around.

Found my dump off the turbo. It is stock and benefits can be had from a custom built dump here but this is not really much of the way in mods to the engine or drive train for this project so I will probably just blast this and paint or coat and run it.

I decided 3/8's was overkill for all my frame plating, still using 3/16s on the inner frame rails but the rest is going to be 1/8". Just picked up a sheet of 1/8" yesterday. 3/8's frame plates are already made and ready to weld on. Also took my main drive gear in the t-case to a machinist I know. This is the gear that runs the rear PTO. Had him modify it to suit my set up and now I am ready to rock the rear PTO. Got more bling for the engine from Japan, hard injection lines and lot's more. Fitted injectors and these hard lines.

I have got the motor mounts in the frame and am nearly done with the trans mounts. It is sitting a little lower in the frame than I wanted originally but....this truck will never be a rock crawler because of the gearing, 50:1 is not low enough. Also, keeping the engine & trans low keeps the center of gravity low. Last bit, I will be building a pretty beefy belly skid.

Excited to have the engine & trans in the frame sitting on the mounts. I have just a bit more fab on the trans mounts before I burn them in. As soon as that is done, I am starting on suspension and I am very amped to do that!

cut this crossmember out behind the trans. I plan to weld it back in but it will be moved back considerably.

Where in Wyoming are you if you don't mind my asking so? I am up in Bozeman ( by way of Madison, WI last year) I have friends in Gillette and Casper and get down there every now and then. May end up moving down to Wyoming (closer to Denver if job dictates the move) I like Cody as well :)

I am in Jackson Hole. I like Cody, cool town. Bozeman too. I am going up to the Bear Tooths early next month, camping on the pass, snowboarding, we will hit up Redlodge if it is pissing rain.
