I have a split mirror, but for whatever reason I never notice that it isn't adjusted right until I'm on the road and realize I can't see ****. :)

Convex mirrors work well. Some friends had a property up in the hills and unfortunatly the driveway was at something like a 45 deg to the main road. Cant see anything out of the window or mirror so set the Ebrake and halfway crawl over to the pass side to see whats going on. One time I looked out and a driver was stopped to allow me to get on the road. I think they had a motorhome and have played this game as well,

I got my blind spot camera working today (I think) and everything cabled in. I found that if you take the storage compartment over the cupholders out there are some pretty good crevasses for stuffing things - so I jammed a lot of wiring up in there, along with the 12V to 5 V converters that most devices seem to have built into their cigarette lighter plugs these days.

If you ever get a chance to check out my rig, one of the mods that has worked out very well for me in the cab is the piece of aluminum square tube about 3 inches above the dash. It makes a great place to mount devices without drilling holes in the dash or resorting to double sided tape. I have mounts for my GPS, inReach, iPad, TPMS, and forward camera all bound to it.

Blind Spot Camera

Here's what my dash looks like.

If you take out this

You can pop off this little cover at the windshield and feed all kinds of wires down there. All the power converters for my devices are now inside the dash.

This is how I attach the square tube to the truck.

And this is the blind spot camera installed.

Well, you have added all that stuff to the inside of your cab, now I guess it's time to bling up the outside. ;)

If I found someone I though could do a decent job for a reasonable price I would be all over it. I think it would be fun.
