Nice looking Burb Rooster. I am happy to say that it looks like you are doing all the right upgrades. The pics you posted helps everyone to follow the improvements that you are doing. Nice job!:wings:

Let me know wn Greggk. I'm doing Old Chinaman Gulch on Saturday. I'm part of a off road club in Denver. We have members in the springs also. The reason forvthevbody lift isvmy mounts are worn out. It will give me a little added clearance so I don't rub. And have room if I want to go to 37 inch tires.

Thanks again for the kind words

My friends and I all run big burbans. This was a set up for a photo shoot for Peterson's 4Wheeler magazine suburbans 75 anniversary story. But they never ran it.

Nice build bro! Is your Burb's 4 speed the original tranny? I've only seen a couple factory four speed Burbs, rare and cool to see!!! Looks like you and your family have a lot of fun with it, your pics make me jealous of the amount of space available in a Burb! (Also jealous of the beautiful area that you get to go wheelin in!!!) How do you like those extreme AT's so far?

the extreme AT's have massive bite especially aired down. i got lucky and paid $75 a piece for them brand new. i love my kids and they have been wheelin with me since each were 6 months old. one is 7 and my youngest is 3.5 yrs now. its a factory 4 speed muncie. thats what caught my eye on it. ive never seen one before. i love my burban and taking it all across Colorado Rockies

Cool pictures, nice to see your whole family can fit in the suburban and go camping.

The 700R4 4 speed automatic has been available as an option in the suburban’s since 1981. But it was not very common until 1987/1988 when it became the standard transmission for the half tons and optional for the ¾ ton. At the same time as when they switched over to EFI (TBI).
