His mention of lateral forces and mount failures, was something that I rarely see/hear about. Probably because his depth of true expedition experience versus the highway cruisers we most often see.
Ah, "fiddly" stuff is a pain! A good video. Could have easily been twice as long in order to cover the topic in more detail.
One point that he did not expound on was the weight of the rack itself. The mounting system can only handle so much weight and a heavy rack means less cargo can be safely carried.
