My Kukunam XL is my trailer lid. I would like an annex but not willing to make the trade off of raising the tent and don't want to complicate things with a telescoping rack. I bring my REI Base Camp 6 to use for storage and a changing room.

So I decided to take Box Rocket's idea and got a good jump on it today about 3 hours or so. Just fine tuning it lifting so there isn't any sticking points.

Can I ask what is the model number of your gas Springs. I'm guessing their suspa?

So do you have a tepui with an annex and if so, do you use? I think the goal will be to have it in the top while traveling and lift up when at camp.

No annex. I like to keep things simple without bringing everything including the kitchen sink with me. With my setup, I can close up my Tepui and I'm on the road in under 10 minutes.

I do have options... like a Grand Trunk privacy shelter if I need it that pops open in a couple of minutes. I also recently bought a light weight 10' x 10' tarp that fits in a small bag with two poles that I'm setting up to attach to the top of the Tepui for rain protection, if needed. I'm sure an annex is nice, but it's too much like returning to a ground tent for me.

yes my gas struts are SUSPA. The number on the body is C16-18869
.
I got the lock pins from McMaster Carr. Do a search on their site for "pop pins"
