RTT on trailer with.... Changing room?

Im looking for a way to be able to use the changing room with the tent on a trailer. ive seen where people will put the tent on a rack on the trailer but id like to be able to keep the COG and drag less by having the tent low when driving.

I thought of the idea of having it be able to raise and lower. raise it to usr the changing room in camp and lower for driving.

Has anyone done this kind of thing? i was thinking that it wouldnt be too hard to build, but might be adventageous to use a linear acctuator or something similar to raise and lower it.

Any pics or ideas would be great.
Thanks!

"Changing Room" just sounds like something a runway supermodel would require. Couldnt we try something like the Poker Parlor, or the Man-CanvasCave? Who "changes" anything anyway.

I was given a tent by a dear friend. He simply wanted it used, so im trying to figure how it will work best for me.

I see about the free tent... Makes a lot of sense. Sorry for pimping my stuff on your thread.

Anyone can PM me with questions... I'll be putting up an ad next week.

No worries. How much did your trailer end up weighing? I love the service box idea and hate tue weight of them.

Trailer isn't light, but it's not that heavy either. It weighs in right around 2,100lbs fully loaded with 1 RV battery, 20lb propane tank, EZ up, tools, 15 gal of water, and all my other camping stuff (ladder, chairs, kitchen, table, stove, bedding, pack-n-play, etc).

One thing that helps is that the tool body is all Alum. and only weighs about 350 by itself. But add the tent, 35" tires, and an overly beefy frame and the weight goes up quickly.
