I've had my Maggiolina Airland deployed in several summer thunderstorms.
Not a drop inside. :wings:
But it sure sucks to be stuck inside for a couple of hours when you want to get up and around! :ylsmoke:

I agree Ed, bring a huge *** awning, better yet a parawing style one if it gets windy. I drape the sucker over the whole tent and have room for a couple chairs and a table.

I have a Mombasa RTT ( cartoptent.com rooftoptent.com) their all the same china made product...

It kept me very warm and dry during a consistent downfall and heavy winds. I personally had some issues with the quality of the fasteners at first but they since upgraded their product and sent me free of charge an upgraded rain fly and their "new" poly cotton extreme weather material tent. The original did just fine in the storm but I challenged them as to how long it would last if I continued to use in extreme weather.. they will tell you that the base model is for fair weather. I have yet to install the new tent onto the base and frame etc. But soon I will and I will give you a full report of the challenges and the outcome...
In retrospect I wish I would have purchased an EEZI AWN. I saved a lot of money but as Mario told me... "Cry once when you buy it .. not everytime you use it." I should have listened, because I'm crying a lot...

If you plan on using it once in while and you are careful when you errect the tent you'll be fine.. .I've been using mine once a month or more and it will soon be replaced by an EEZI AWN.

Overall I have mixed emotions when it comes to the Mombasa.. One hand it is inexpensive and it kept me dry. On the other I wonder what is going to break or tear when I open it up and how long it will last.... a year, 2, 4, definitely not a life time... Mr. Chips is a friend of mine and the quality difference between his EEZI AWN and Mombasa is night and day.
Peace of mind is everything when you're out in the elements.

Again I should have spent the extra $$$ and I wouldn't have to try and sell this and buy the EEZI AWN.
