RTT Question

I am thinking about getting rid of my popup (Fleetood/Coleman E2) and getting a roof top tent for my 04 3/4 ton Suburban. My problem is my wife and I have also been tossing around the idea of getting a couple kayaks. So my question is would this be possible? Would having the tent all the way in the back leave enough room for a couple 10 or 12ft kayaks? Any ideas are welcome.
Thanks

I think you would need to mount brackets to the top of the RTT to hold long kayaks. With a Suburban, you may be able to fit a RTT on the back and a couple of small white water kayaks up front, but a longer touring kayak will require a rack of some kind. I seem to remember someone here who had an RTT and was able to mount a kayak / surfboard holder to the top...

It also depends on what type of tent you get.
Autohome has one (you can also mount two of these side by side on a roof rack) that folds out to the side leaving you room on your roof for watercraft.
It is called the Overcamp.

Most traditional soft top roof top tents take up the whole width of the roof, but this one only takes up about 1/2.

An example of two on the roof.
Instant motherinlaw room.
