Rubicon with a tundra?

Thanks Guys,

Bikemobile,

The road I am talking about is after you cross the slate you climb up along the "Oh Be Joyful" kayaking portion. we only drove about 3/4 mile up to put in and run the falls and slides back down. Does that road go anywhere?

Our route will probably be southwest to north east traveling towards denver instead of away. I spent time in lots of the towns you mentioned but only did a few trails and I am not sure what they were, we couldn't find names, info, etc and all the locals had no clue. We did one trail heading up towards cottonwood pass that had orange blaze and randomly popped us out on the gravel road heading up to CW going towards Buena Vista.

Good memories for sure.

Thanks for the suggestions. Any suggestion on books/ guides for the area or is the website the way to to?

LOL-That Tundra is a nice set up for the Rubicon, but hardly stock near stock. The SFA alone gives it far more capability than stock and will limit your breakage factor too. And that's not to mention the lift, big tires, armor and the rear chop. It sounds like the OP has come to his senses about taking a near stock truck through there.

The Rubicon is fairly local to me and I'm up there a couple of times a year. I've seen all sorts of trucks in there over the years, but never a newish Tundra on 32s! I've seen lots of broken trucks in there too, which can be a real nightmare.

Looks like you had fun.

Good call on skipping Rubicon. You can always camp out on the loon lake or on top of Cadillac hill and hike in a ways to see what its like. The pics that 01 tundra posted give you a good example of what some parts of the trail look like.
