Running power

Been lurking for sometime, used allot of the info I found here for our first minor outing this year.......more to come:wings:

Now that the beast (2003 SE7 158,000 miles) has been retired from DD duty I am looking to kit her out a bit more.

Looking to install a Sears PM1 and then run power for a 750w inverter and a future fridge also I will run my CB ant cable to the front and mount it off the brush bar.

Just wondering if anyone has done this (figure I am not the first by far) and if you did, how did you run the black and red and what gauge you ran. Also I am looking for suggestions on where I can install the inverter as we use the laptop while driving.

Any ideas:ylsmoke:

Ran 4ga to the back of the truck.

Its running my 400w inverter
On board air
Dedicated 12v cigarette plug (fridge)
One spare hot wire for future upgrade

Ran the 4gauge wire back and then used a distribution block to fuse it all
Also ran a distribution block for a dedicated ground

Ran the CB cable all the way to the back(spare tire carrier)

PM or call me if you need photos or help with anything

I got most of the supplies from cannibalizing my car stereo on one of the race cars.

TINY cabin, running monitor 1 amps, Morel Speakers, Adire Audio subs. Even with all that in a tiny space, all you could hear was supercharger whine and the straight pipe(no cats no muffler).

Figured I should put it to better use. Wiring and such went to the Disco, the other stuff will find a home in my benz eventually.

Odd, my trucks have better sound than either of my cars...
