My wife and I have decided to let our camper van find a new home for the coming season as business pursuits and other interests lead us in a new direction. This is a 2011 Ford Econoline E350 with many modifications to make it suitable for exploring the wilderness. Here are the key facts and features:
2011 Ford E-350 Econoline

5.4L V8 (gasoline), automatic transmission
Quigley 4x4 conversion
Opt Overland pop top
- remote controlled electric top raises 30" to reveal upstairs sleeping area with 6" foam mattress
- LED lighting, 12V outlets, USB chargers in upper platform
- Marine grade canvas enclosure with multi-layer windows (privacy, clear plastic, screen, wide open)
MaxxFan ventilation fan
200W Renogy solar system with 20A MPPT controller
100 Ah AGM house battery system (battery on frame rail in custom mount) connected to solar and starting battery with Tmax isolator
Dometic CFX75DZW 12V refrigerator
ARB awning with mounting brackets
Blaupunkt stereo with on-screen backup camera
Passenger seat swivel
Also included but not installed:
Dual Ford bucket seats with integrated seat belts
- These can be bolted into the rear area using the factory seat anchors which are in the floor under the rubber floor mat. You could also modify the mounting bracket to make a custom installation.
Helo HE878 17x9" satin black alloy wheels (set of 4)
Bushwacker fender flare set
(We were waiting for the current tires to wear out before installing these)
We've really enjoyed this van for the past two years and had big plans of a full interior build out but found that we liked the flexibility of the open space in the main cabin. In the summer we sleep in the upstairs and in the winter use the main cabin as our sleeping space. The open main body is great for hauling mountain bikes, snow toys, climbing gear, etc. or giving a second sleeping space when friends join you.
As you can see in the pics, the lower walls are unfinished since we had planned a build but never got to it. The floor is covered with a bedrug rubber surface mat for quick and easy cleanup. There is currently no insulation in the walls or floor, but we did make reflecticx window covers for insulation and privacy. The 12V house system has been great and provides plenty of juice for the fridge, fan, and any other accessories you may want to run. The upstairs sleeping platform has a full size 6" foam mattress and four removeable panels in case you want to pull it all down for extra headroom.
The van has had regular oil changes and maintenance during our ownership but no major mechanical issues. We just had the front driveshaft rebuilt after one of the double cardans was making noise, other than that she's running flawlessly and should provide you many miles and years of enjoyment. The van is located in Buena Vista, CO and available for inspection any time.
