Overview

  • 2013 Toyota Land Cruiser (JTMHY7AJ4D4010556) silver exterior, black leather interior, 172k miles
  • 5.7L V8, 6-speed automatic, full-time four-wheel drive with low range, locking center differential, hill descent control; fully loaded
  • One owner until 2021, entire life near Sacramento and then Southern California (I’m the 3rd owner)
  • Original Monroney label (window sticker) and all maintenance records from new, showing regular maintenance performed every 5,000 miles; original paint, no rust, no record of accidents
  • Upgrades include Old Man Emu BP-51 adjustable coilovers and associated components for 2” lift; EVO Corse Dakar 17” wheels (5) with Toyo Open Country A/T III tires
This 200-series has been regularly maintained its whole life, delivered new to Maita’s Toyota of Sacramento and remaining in the area until 2021 when it was sold to a Land Cruiser enthusiast in Southern California. The original sticker and stack of all maintenance records are included (also available to view on Toyota.com).

I’ve added 12k mostly highway miles during my ownership, and took two desert trips during which the upgraded suspension proved to be a big improvement in ride quality over unmaintained dirt trails. Towing a vintage travel trailer down from Oregon proved how well the 200-series performs as a tow vehicle. This is a second vehicle which I mildly upgraded and was intending to keep for desert camping and road trips but life has changed and it mostly sits covered on my driveway (exercised weekly).

Shortly after purchasing, I began improving this Land Cruiser with tasteful, reversible modifications that would enhance its use as a reliable, highly-capable and comfortable family camping platform. I prefer the clean look and lighter weight of a stock bumper Land Cruiser but it can easily be outfitted with off-road oriented heavy-duty bumpers due to the upgraded OME suspension.
  • Old Man Emu (OME) BP-51 adjustable coilover suspension with medium duty springs (approx. 2” lift), Dobinsons diff. drop kit, Nolathane upper control arms, 4-wheel alignment (RPM Garage, Monrovia Feb. 2022 at 161k miles; $5,953.64 installed) – this a complete package suspension upgrade comprising of all the components to properly lift a Land Cruiser for longevity and reliability. Up-rated springs can accommodate front and/or rear heavy-duty off-road bumpers
  • EVO Corse Dakar 17x8 with Toyo Open Country A/T III LT285/70 R17 – 5 wheels purchased new from Main Line Overland; tires and lug nuts purchased new, installed Mar. 2022 at 162k miles ($4,347.46)
  • Slee Offroad 2nd battery tray kit and charge controller mounting bracket for Redarc BCDC charge controller – 2nd battery tray is installed; Redarc battery charger controller not included
  • Redarc Tow Pro Elite electric trailer brake controller – the best trailer brake controller available, with plug-and-play installation into factory Toyota wiring harness (installed Feb. 2023)
  • Cruiser Teq rear hatch exit switch and handle – this allows easy exit through the rear hatch from inside the vehicle and uses original Toyota parts for a factory appearance

Extra Items Included

  • 5x original 18" alloy wheels with 4 center caps
  • Coverking Silverguard car cover – high quality breathable, reflective UV-blocking lightweight custom fit cover
  • Original pair of Toyota headphones for rear seat passengers – brand-new in sealed packaging, never used
  • 1x genuine Toyota engine air filter
  • 2x genuine Toyota engine oil filters
  • Heatshield reflective, roll-up windshield sun shade

Maintenance Items

As expected, this Land Cruiser has been very reliable and only required minor service items during my ownership, with no known signs of mechanical issues. Notable recent service items:
  • Replaced all 5 tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) wheel sensors; 5-tire rotation, incl. spare tire (Lextech, Los Angeles, Jul. 2024, $680)
  • New battery (installed Oct. 2023, $212.74)
  • Oil changes every 5,000 miles with factory recommended 0-20 full synthetic oil since new

Condition

Mechanical
  • No known mechanical issues, all factory systems work as intended
Exterior
  • Very clean, straight body lines with only 1 ding on left rear door and 1 ding on rear lower tailgate
  • All paint is in excellent condition
  • Slight hazing of the top of the headlight lenses, does not affect performance
  • Rock chip in windshield, stable and not growing in size
Interior
  • Sunroof and all window rubber seals in good condition, no leaks
  • Original leather seats all in good condition; driver's side shows some wear on bottom bolster
  • Small tear in leather on driver’s seat back
  • Shift knob finish worn

nice looking 200 series, why are you selling it?
Thanks. As noted in the description, I bought it as a 2nd vehicle for camping trips but life has changed and I'm not doing nearly as much of that anymore.
